Blue Train

One of John Coltrane’s most popular albums and considered his “real” first solo album with musicians chosen by himself. “Blue Train” nevertheless remained faithful to the hard bop style: on very Bop compositions, John Coltrane already imprints his sound and his nonconformist and innovative way of playing. It moves on several octaves and aligns beautiful rhythmic progressions: blues, swing and funk are omnipresent. Recorded in 1957, “Blue Train” is therefore a musical work to discover or rediscover. John Coltrane is recognized as one of the best jazz musicians.
